Emailing out of Storyling

Oct 22, 2014

I have a course that needs to have an email sent with all of the input the trainee typed in. Is this possible? It is not a certificate and they will be entering quite a bit of information. Is there a way that storyline will do this?

We were working through a similar issue today and found that the best approach may be to create an Adobe PDF form and attach it as an object with a trigger to launch. The PDF form can be configured with an email button that will send the form and or its data to whatever email you choose. Essentially, that is doing it outside of Storyline but the form can be launched through a button within Storyline.

Hi Brent

I realise this is an old thread, however this is what I may be looking for. Are you a able to explain the ‘how to’ in more detail? I would like the course certificate of completion to be attached to an email so the learner can send it right away as proof of completion (for an induction module so they can receive their security  access card)

I can generate the certificate but can’t get it to attached to the email link.

Thanks - I hope this gets to you.

Thank you Leslie - I will try that.

I have scoured through the forums to find a fix for my printing issue, do you know of any that have worked (I'm aware that Articulate doesn't support HTML, but the heroes are so amazing and innovative that I'm ever hopeful someone has found a reasonably easy solution.

My issue is:  I would like my ''This is to certify that Jane Doe has has completed the course etc etc.. on this date" (My name variables and javascript date work)  - to be saved as PDF and emailed to relevant person at end of the course. But I cannot get it to work.(unless in Chrome) but my clients staff use, Edge, IE and various).

They use this outside of their LMS SABA as the staff need to do this induction before getting an access key. Which means that they don't have their own computers at this stage and thus no access to the company LMS.  The client wants this certificate to prove they have completed the compliance aspect first and they need them to email the 'proof' to security (hence name and date).

Thanks
