Hi everybody, this article has helped me too. I tried that and published to "Web" and to "CD". It works and the PDF is stored in the folder \story_content\external_files\
I can also publish to "LMS" as "SCORM 1.2" and can see that the PDF is in the same folder. But I can't really test the functionality, because I have no access rights to that LMS. Thus, what is the experience with LMS? Do they normally support the function "external files"?
What settings do you use? I am selecting the file using Jump to url/file & selecting the file using the Load file button; however, when I publish, it is not including the documents. I suspect that there is a setting that I'm missing when I publish to Web.
Be sure that the file name is not too long nor contains any characters as I've seen this cause issue before as well. The directions that Wendy shared above should assist.

Hi Teresa
the trigger is Jump to URL/file. When you publish the file will be stored in the publish folder under the external content folder
Outstanding!! Thank you!! :) :) :)
Glad that Wendy was able to assist you here Teresa!

Many thanks for the answer.
Hi Rolf!
This thread is a bit dated. It should work the same when published to LMS as well. You can test via SCORM Cloud if you wish.
Hi Leslie, many thanks for your reply. Your tip with the SCORM Cloud is just perfect to me.
Glad to hear it Rolf and just let us know if you need anything further.
