Embed Discussion Board?
Dec 21, 2016
Hi everyone,
Pretty new to Articulate Storyline. I am looking to integrate some collaborative learning features into my Storyline courses. Is there a way to embed a discussion board into a course (possibly through web object?) so that individual users can communicate around a discussion topic?
Also, would appreciate recommendations on discussion board/forum tools or platforms to use.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Tara!
Welcome to Heroes! You can absolutely use a Web Object to embed a discussion board web tool into a Storyline project. I've seen this done with Padlet, but I'm sure there are lots of other tools our there you can try! Hopefully some of your fellow community members can make some suggestions here. :)
Thanks Alyssa! I am an instructional designer for an organization who will
be selling our curriculum to organizations who will then use it with their
employees and students. If a discussion board was embedded that way, is
there a way for the replies to be forwarded on to the administrator of the
account rather than to me as the creator of the discussion board?

Hi Tara!
In this case, I would ask the administrator of the account to create the discussion board in Padlet and share the URL with you. That way, the administrator will have full access to the discussion board. If you decide to use Padlet, the administrator can create an account for free, and it only takes just a minute to set up a discussion.
Are there any others besides Padlet that you know have been used?
