Embedded Video in 'Preview mode' works but when published" it doesn't! please help...:(
Jan 13, 2016
Hi guys,
hoping i can get an insight from everyone here..
Problem:
Video embedded inside the slide layer did not seem to work on PUBLISH mode. It works flawlessly in PREVIEW mode only.
Here's what i did to troubleshoot:
1. I change the different settings with the video compression, I did the Auto play mode/ not auto play, remove effects of the slide, unhide/hide video control buttons, make sure my triggers are correct. ( all possible combo )
2. I change the video file into diff file format.
3. I did not update my flash settings, so i have version 15 (the old one )
4. I uploaded a DIFFERENT video ( thinking maybe its the video's problem ) but it doesn't seem to work too!!!
I am about to lose my hair thinking of this project :(
anyone out there with possible solutions? thank you i appreciate it......

Hi,
You could attach the source file .story ?
It would be easier to determine the cause of the problem

we found a bug, apparently because we have our documents mirrored in a server, that server wont read video files.BUT when i publish it on my C:, it works fine! what a relief. * will just have to check in with IT with this...
Thanks for helping out Arkaduisz. Cheers.
Hi Valerie!
So glad that you were able to pin this down and thanks for popping back in to share with everyone.
We do advise publishing locally:
Important: Always publish to your local hard drive. Publishing to a network drive or a USB drive can cause problems with your published output. After publishing to your local hard drive, upload the output to a web server for testing.
