I have tried and tried and can't seem to get it quite right. If I publish and run through the course, it works and runs the video fine. Once I load it into the LMS, the videos don't show up. EEGADS. Any suggestions?
It came in with the https on it. I tried it again, but no luck. Do you insert "From Video" and copy the embed code from that website into the text box over your slide?
Unfortunately, we aren’t able to use any ‘clouds’. Government agency. Getting to purchase Articulate 360 was a first step, but we can’t use the sharing parts that go up into the cloud……. Yet. They’ll get there, but not there yet.
looks like you're replying via email and unfortunately the attachments won't show. Can you click on 'View' instead of 'Reply' and attach the link here in the forum.
if the video is about Silica - see attached. I inserted Video from Website and added the embed code. Published to LMS - uploaded to Scormcloud...here is a Peek video of it working.
So, did you both follow the steps for embedding as website videos or web objects? It all works great for me too, until I load it into our LMS. Then the slides are blank, white, nothing about the videos and they don't auto start. If you were loading it into an LMS, not a cloud, how would you do it? I've tried both Website Video and Web Object, but something in the coding I'm doing must not be quite right. Steps or embedding codes? EEGADS, Thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it. I know we're close.
the fact it works in Scormcloud and not in your LMS could mean there is a setting or option that may be preventing it from loading. Perhaps if you let folk know which LMS you are using someone can chime in...but I would be talking to your LMS administrator or the vendor to further the discussion
I agree, it seems it must be in the LMS settings or options. Our LMS is "Sumtotal product", was called GeoLearning in the original form, then Sumtotal took it over. Maestro was another version in the beginning. Had been working pretty well until the changes as a result of the Java Script, Windows 10, Google Chrome, etc., etc. recently. Sheesh! Hard to keep up but we're keep at it.
When you added the embed code, what did you add? All of what I sent in the text box? It looks like a different code when I look at yours. Where did you get that. Mine that the computer provided was much different.
Because I couldn't copy paste the url from your pdf I retyped just the R_sC2wX9Uwc into the search box in Youtube...then I clicked the Share clicked Embed, copied the embed code then put that into SL
I know this is late, but the reason why you won't see the video in your LMS is that it is still playing from youtube which is blocked by the government firewall.

Make sure the video URL starts with "https", not just "http"

Sorry, I miss-typed. Do you insert "From Website", and copy the embed code from that website into the text box on your slide? Thanks.
Can you share the video URL here so that someone can test?
Thanks,

Have you tried uploading to Scormcloud and testing there? If it works, then it may be a setting in your LMS stopping it from playing?

Can you share the video URL and one of us can test it for you?

Not sure this will get to you. It's in a folder on my "c" drive.
I tried your embed code, uploaded it to SCORMCloud and tested. It works there.

OK Wendy, I see you said in your memo you inserted video from website and added the embed code. Appreciate that.

This is a really old post Vicki but it might be a start
