embedding YouTube modestbranding feature
Dec 30, 2013
Hi, there. Have embedded a YouTube video as a web object following the tutorial instruction and it works fine except the modestbranding setting as described in the tutorial won't work.
The modestbranding parameter lets you remove the YouTube button from the player controls of the video. (The YouTube button lets the learner launch the video in a separate window at the YouTube website, which may not be desirable if you want your students to be free from distractions.) The modestbranding parameter accepts the following value:
- 1 means you do NOT want the YouTube button to display
My setup is
http://www.youtube.com/embed/zTAQ289dGV4?autohide=2&fs=0& modestbranding=1&rel=0&showinfo=0
Have tried it as 1 as suggested but the YouTube button is still there--tried it as 0 just in case, but was still there. Any ideas?

How did you inert the video into Storyline, using the embed code or as a web object? I used a webobject and the modest branding works there, see here: http://dev.keypointlearn.com/xcl71_SL/YouTubeModest/story.html The only thing I changed from your URL is that I set the autohide to '1' (just because that would be my preference).
Hi, Michael. I did it as a web object because I need it to play on Mac and ipad. On your example, the YouTube link is still there, it's just that the whole bar hides--I'd love to get the YouTube off of the bar whether it shows or not.
result with also the latest adobe flash
Thanks, that helps some. I can now get YouTube logo to autohide, but it's still there in the beginning and if they run mouse over it.
