I am hoping that someone can provide some input wrt how to embed a video that i have the embed code for. this is hosted on my companies server. In the current setup with the web object it is asking for a web address link. Can the embed code be used that way as well? My brain is telling me no.
Can you share the embed code so that we can have a look? Also, if you tested the published locally (on your harddrive) the video may be blocked by your browser's security settings. Try uploading to some server and then test again. Finally, your video server may be hosted behind a corporate firewall and therefore not be accessible from the outside.

You could use the embed code with Storyline's 'Video from website' function as described here.

Yes we are of the same mind wrt the last point. I can't share the video unfortunately.
