Enable variables in state designation

I'd love to see the state designation include a variable. This would save me tons of time while increasing functionality through JavaScript.
I understand that this should be submitted as a feature request, but I'd like to hear everyone's feedback.

Computer programmers have been asking for this ability for decades. Even in the newest languages, it is still implemented in a method very little changed from the examples you show. :(
Aye, no doubt that's true, and thanks for your response, Walt. I'm confident that Articulate can make it happen. An update like this would be most welcome and save my team loads of clicks.
