End of quiz confusing

Aug 29, 2013

I am getting feedback from my learners regarding when the module ends........when they complete the quizes, they get their results slide.  The player at this point still shows the next button.  Is there a way to change the player buttons on the last slide of the unit to say close?  Many learners are confused and afraid to click the X in case their data is lost.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Graham,

In story view you can turn on or off the next/prev buttons for individual slides using the panel on the right hand side below your slide triggers.

You can also go into a bit more detail if you click on 'Player' which is located under the home panel at the top of the Storyline interface. This allows you to edit the player and should give you the options you're looking for to achieve this.

Hi Graham! Looks like Alexei offered a couple of suggestions for you. You could use something as simple as removing the Next button as indicated above and just have users close the window, or do you simply need the users to click a button that will exit the course, instead of having them close the window? If so, you should be able to insert a button and add the "Exit Course" on click trigger.
