Engage and Storyline
May 16, 2014
Hi everyone,
I know that there are several posts related to the lack of importing feature for Engage 13 interactions into Storyline.
I stumbled upon a post (cannot find it now) showing how to import an Engage interaction into Presenter as a web object.
And I am wondering whether the same approach could be used with Storyline for importing a published Engage interaction.
Has anybody tried that?
Many thanks
Mahfoud

I had done a test where an Engage '13 interaction was displayed inside a Storyline web object. See here (never mind the poor formatting, I just wanted to see if this works at all).
When you publish (to web) the engage interaction, rename interaction.html to index.html, and then you should be able to add the folder as a web object in storyline.
Hi Mahfoud,
You can definitely do this as a web object within Storyline - first, you'll want to publish your Engage interaction to web.
1 .Have all of your Engage output in one folder.
2. Rename your Engage.html (Studio 09) or Interaction.html (Studio 13) file to "Index.html"
3. In Storyline, click insert web object and click on the folder icon.
4. Direct Storyline to the Engage folder (just select the folder, no need to navigate inside).
5. Click Ok.
Now, when you publish, all of the Engage files will get pulled into your presentation.
To properly test this published version, you'll need to test within the intended environment or else the web object may not display as expected.
