Engage FAQ into Storyline
Aug 02, 2013
Hello, I am trying to insert an Engage FAQ interaction into Storyline. It's my first time doing this. I'm trying to insert it as a web object but when I do this the interaction exceeds the size of the player window. I've tried multiple ways of resizing the web object but this doesn't work either - it simply crops or cuts off a greater portion of the Engage interaction instead of retaining the aspect ratio.
Ive tried inserting it as a Flash object too, but then it doesn't play at all.
Oh - I also tried inserting it as a web object that launches in a separate window and that is not an option. I'd rather lose the interaction all together than have it launch in a separate window.
Anyone have experience doing this successfully?

Kimberly: I apologize, but is there a reason you are importing at a web object? Can you get the results you want be importing the "normal" way.
Select New slide
Select Import (at the bottom)
Select Engage interaction.
Hi Kimberly! Let us know if you need anything further after Daniel's recommendations.
Thank you! I did not find those directions in my multiple searches of the Articulate community. (I did find directions that involved inserting it as a web object, and for future readers - this does not work as well as Daniel's directions.)
Thanks Kimberly for the update and glad it all got figured out!
I am also having the same issues as Kimberly, but inserting direct as an Engage interaction does not allow me to resize and position it on a current slide. What is the best way to do this?
Hi Erika,
If you're needing to resize the Engage interaction, did you look at the options mentioned here for height and width?
Resize your interaction placeholder on the slide using the Height and Width fields to designate your desired values in pixels.

Oh I didn't realize you could do that - thanks Ashley!
No problem Erika and please let us know if you need anything else!
