I imported 5 engage interactions into an e-learning project I created in Storyline. When I publish, I can see them in the menu but they do not appear on the screen of all computers on which I install the e-learning project. I can see them on mine but not on my work colleagues. I believe it has something to do with Flash settings and/or security settings but I can't figure it out! Has anyone had this problem and know how to fix it?
Are you viewing published output locally, by any chance, on either machine? If you view published Storyline content on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.
To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. Please review the following article for details:
I am publishing locally to my harddrive. I have done this before and was able to somehow get around the issue but can't remember how! I guess the proper way to publish then is to the CD for local use and Web for web use. Or maybe it's time I lobby for an LMS or Articulate Online! Thanks for your help.
Not sure if this would work for you, but you could also use Tempshare for testing. Keep in mind, though, this is not intended as a host and any content you upload will be removed after 10 days.
