Engage won't play in Storyline after updating Storyline

I updated Storyline last week. Now when I publish my file for review, the Engage piece won't work. I followed the instructions in this article (http://www.articulate.com/support/kb_article.php?product=st1&id=s7t0bt3bsigj) and republished my Engage piece, then renamed the file index.html, and called it through the insert > Web Object. When I test it  - the Engage piece runs. When I publish it - I get a blank slide where the Engage interaction should be.

Also - what's the difference between inserting the Engage piece as mentioned above as opposed to going through the Articulate Icon > Import > Engage? That's how I did it last time.
