Corrupt files are always so frustrating. I was able to find this thread that discusses some possible solutions as well as some preventative measures you can take in the future.
In the discussion Sam linked above, you will find the steps to search your temp folder for a possible version of your project. I wanted to post it here as well, in case others in the community also run into file corruption:
Open this folder in Windows Explorer: %appdata%\Articulate\Storyline
Scan the contents of this folder for a file that starts with the name of the project. If you find one, copy it to your desktop.
Change the file extension of the copy on your desktop from *.tmp to *.story.
