Error message about newer version - help please!

Hi everyone,

I am trying to open a saved project but am getting an error message that it was created in a newer version of Storyline. This is definitely the only version I have and I haven't applied any updates.

Has anyone else experienced this and/or can help?

Hi Jennifer!  I am a brand new user myself and did have this problem recently.  I am "low-tech". Ashley from the boards explained to me that I always needed to be working on local C drive.  It has my computer set up so that all my files are set to save to network. They installed a folder on my desktop for storyline and I work and save everything there.  I periodically save copy on flash drive in case ever a problem with local drive.  Not sure if that is your problem, but thought I'd share.

Hi,

I think the problem here is to do with roaming profiles.

The screen grab above refers to a Desktop location and a User. I therefore think that you are working on a computer as part of a network solution and will have a User profile which stores your work under the My Documents directory.

You would not have permissions to run this file from the Desktop, put it into your profile area under My Documents.
