Error "Unable to acquire LMS API" and problem with Review Button.

Sep 08, 2017

Hello guys,

When publishing the SL360 projects I always get an error "Unable to acquire LMS API, content may not play properly and  results may not be recorded properly". I try to launch the project by clicking "View project" button after publishing and always get such error. The projects works fine by clicking story.html. But i think i will have problems with recording results in such scorm.

Also the Review button does not work when i try to publish as HTML5 or HTML5/Flash. Flash/HTML5 or only Flash is ok with Review button.

I have attached the error window , log and small SL360 test from which i removed all questions except 5 in order to test it.

I must launch very important courses and test asap but always get such errors. What should i do then?

Hi Mikhail, thanks for sharing your file! It looks like you published for LMS, so you'll want to test the published file in a LMS environment. SCORM Cloud is a really handy tool for LMS testing--it's industry standard, and it's free! You can also publish to Articulate 360 for quick testing purposes.

Also, we're seeing a problem in Storyline 360 HTML5 where the Quiz Review button doesn't work if you have selected "Never Resume" for your resume behavior. For now, try switching to "Prompt to Resume" or "Always Resume" to get around this bug.

Let me know if that helps!

Hello Alyssa,

I'm trying to test a scorm course that i have uploaded on SCORM Cloud. I passed through the test several times and got good results. But the final score was not fixed in the system. So this is some kind of problem with publishing scorm test that i described earlier. Could you please check the SL file and say what wrong with it.

I have to update several scorm courses and is not able to do it as i get the same error when publishing the courses.

The SL file is at the attachment.

Hope for your help.
