Errors running Storyline in IE 7

Feb 11, 2019

There are several instances where a course I have created crashes in IE. It is on the last page of the module content. The version of IE that is being used is 9.11 and 11 on Windows 7 Enterprise. I have attached two files that show the errors that are being thrown as well as a text file that comes up. These errors consistently occur on 3 machines we test on in my office area.  This area does not happen in Chrome or in IE installed on machines that run Window's 10.

Due to the proprietary & confidential information on the files and error messages, please send me a link to upload any Storyline files needed to examine the problem.

Hi David,

Are the errors coming from courses you've published with Storyline 360? If so, we only support Internet Explorer 11 for the HTML5 output, and for Flash as far back as Internet Explorer 8. Internet Explorer 7 isn't supported.

You can see the full list of supported browsers and output types here.

If you still have questions and would like our team to take a look at your course, you can always share privately by uploading to our Support Team here.

Ashley,

Yes I am using Storyline 360. However, the problem is not IE 7, rather Windows 7 Enterprise OS. My apologies for the confusion. So the version of IE on the Windows 7 Machines are 9.11 and 11. Additionally, if person uses Chrome to view the training it is not an issue (nobody has reported any problem using chrome so far out of 11 tests).

Also, if the user is on a windows 10 machine - the module works fine in IE 11 or Chrome.

I will submit the files on the link you sent earlier.

Thank you.

Sorry for misunderstanding David, but I appreciate you sharing the clarification and reaching out to our team.

I do see that Renz is taking a look and you should be hearing from him soon.
