Oh no, Articulate Creator! I'm so sorry you've come across this roadblock.
Is the project saved on your local hard drive (typically the C: drive)? With your permission, we can take a look at the affected .story file to see if we can restore a working version of the course. You can share it publicly here, or share it privately with our Support team here.
Because of bugs in v42, we have reverted to an earlier v41 version, but not before starting a project in v42, which can't be opened in v41. The error message states;
This project won't open because it uses feature that aren't available in this version of storyline. The features in use are: Text styles.
Can a Storylne file be saved as an earlier version?
Any other work-around other than installing a different version every time we work on a different project?

While it's tough to nail down why files become corrupt, these best practices can help mitigate the risk. Also, here's how to check your temp folder to see if there's an earlier version of this file in the meantime!

Hi John!
The workaround is to make sure all text is using the Normal Text style, then you can open the project in v41.
Thanks Lauren,
That saves us a lot of aggravation and wasted time.
