We are using articulate storyline 3 and created the course but the .story file is not uploading in our company e-learning pilot system.
Getting the errors as " Resource file does not exist".
One of my colleague gave the feedback regarding these errors as “The warnings you are experiencing means that course manifest points to files that do not exist in the package. This might cause if the course was updated, but not the manifest."
It would be great help, if someone give the solution ASAP.
Typically, when you publish a course for LMS and zip it, the LMS will be able to unpack all of those contents and host the course successfully.
Can you try uploading your content in SCORM Cloud to see if you get the same message? We're happy to help test on our end, too, if you'd like to share the .story file here.
Glad to hear that it's working as expected in SCORM Cloud.
I assume you are zipping the contents from the Publish Successful dialog box and uploading the complete zip to your LMS as you did for SCORM Cloud?
Since you are seeing different behaviors between those two, could you reach out to your LMS team to compare. Please be sure you are testing the content in the final environment as well as your learner would.
Yes, we contacted our LMS provider, they are also unable to view the course!
Only positive thing is, course working perfectly in my PC only.
But when I sent the ZIP file to the other department to upload it to our company LMS pilot system they are unable to view it!!(They are saving the file in local disk and fallowing the standard procedure as mentioned by the LMS team)
Even I updated to the latest version of Articulate storyline 3 but still facing the same issues.
We are facing these issues from last 3 months but still did not get any solution! We already created 3 courses and planning to launch them.
Please provide the solution as soon as possible.
(I uploaded SCORM file which was built in Storyline 3 with Publish setting of LMS SCORM 1.2 and Format: HTML5 Only.
When previewed in IE11, the page displayed blank and sometimes the spinning courser.)
I'm sorry you've been stuck on this for a few months.
It does sound like those errors are coming from your LMS - did you check with them if there are other publishing settings you should be using (i.e. a different SCORM version, Flash and HTML5, etc.)?
The only other thought I had is to confirm that the IE11 browser you're using isn't running in Compatibility mode as that would have issues playing back your HTML5 content. Follow these steps to check and turn it off:
In Internet Explorer, click the gear icon (or the Tools menu if it’s visible) and choose Compatibility View settings.
Select the URL for your hosting website or LMS, then click Remove.
If you're using an intranet, such as SharePoint, to host your course, uncheck Display intranet sites in Compatibility View.
Click Close.
I'd also suggest sharing the SCORM Cloud example with your LMS Team. It's an industry standard for LMS testing, so if it's working there the file itself is packaged correctly and uploading normally. Could you also try providing them with the unzipped output in a folder as perhaps they aren't set up to accommodate the zipped version?
Please share with us how you resolved this issue. We are working on updating a course, which throws the same error as you said when uploaded to our LMS. but it is working fine in SCORM CLOUD.
Hello Sudharsanam and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
I'm not sure if Pavan is still subscribed here, but you are welcome to reach out to the user directly via the 'Contact Me' option on the user profile if you do not hear back soon.

Hello Alyssa,
I uploaded the content in SCORM cloud, it is working perfectly.
But, we are getting the errors! when we try to upload the same content into our company e-learning pilot system.
We are unable to identify the actual/root cause for these errors.
It would be great, if you provide me the solution for these errors!
Thank you in advance.

In our company IE11 is the default browser.
Comments and suggestions are well appreciated.
