Essay question

Hi,

I want to build a test (in Storyline 360) with different types of questions and one, ore more, should be an essay question. The course will be published as a scorm-file once I'm done. Now for my questions;

1. How do I receive the answer the participant has written?
2. If I have more than one essay question, can I receive all the answers together and not one at the time?
3. Will the answer remain in the course so the next participant will see the answers the previous participant has written?
4. How will I know which one of the participants who has written what essay?

I hope that someone could help me answering my questions or recommend a page where I could learn more about how essay questions work in Storyline 360 (and as a scorm file).

Thank you in advance!

1. How do I receive the answer the participant has written?

It will be stored in the LMS.

2. If I have more than one essay question, can I receive all the answers together and not one at the time?

They will all be stored in the LMS.

3. Will the answer remain in the course so the next participant will see the answers the previous participant has written?

No.

4. How will I know which one of the participants who has written what essay?

The LMS will track this.

It depends on the LMS Helene, they are all different. Reach out to your LMS provider and ask them how to find the information you need. Or you can share what LMS you are using here and someone who is familiar with it may be able to help.

One thing to keep in mind is that many LMS's will only record answers if the person completing the course is a 'learner'. So if you test the course as an 'admin' or whatever, it will let you access the course but won't record your answers.
