Exam Attempts

Hi there. Is there a way to specify # of exam attempts in Storyline without having to create variables? I don't use a "retry" button on my slide results page, but I've found that students can just select "no" for resume where they left off and start the quiz over or use the menu to navigate to the beginning and take the quiz again. It would be awesome if we could just specify that they have one shot at the quiz and in they must complete their initial attempt or they're test quiz grade is recorded when they leave. Is this a possibility? I did disable the menu as well as "always resume" in the player settings, so perhaps that is the fix.

P.S. Are you using this with a LMS or not?

I am having the same problem, If the learner fails the assessment twice, I want the learner to "restart" and have to go through the entire course content, and a reset restricted menu, before taking the assessment again. Do you know of any walkthroughs or video on this? I am trying to create a trigger on the results failure slide.
Hello Gerry,
I am having the same problem, If the learner fails the assessment twice, I want the learner to "restart" and have to go through the entire course content, and a reset restricted menu, before taking the assessment again. I am also trying to disable the retake trigger button after two failed attempts. Do you know of any walkthroughs or video on this? I am trying to create a trigger on the results failure slide.
Hi Nicholett!
Try adding a button to the result slide with a "restart course" trigger. This trigger will bring the learner back to the first slide and reset the restricted menu.
Give it a try, and let me know how it goes!
