I am getting this error message "Exception During Import PowerPoint" (see attached) when attempting to import a PowerPoint file into Storyline 2. I have done this before and never had a problem. It's saved as a .ppt and nothing seems out of the ordinary with the file itself. Can someone please help me?
In addition to the things Wendy mentioned, as well as ensuring you're working locally, you might want to try running both Storyline and Microsoft PowerPoint as administrator and see if you would be able to import a PowerPoint file.
Look for the EXE file of Storyline and PowerPoint. Right-click the file and select "Run as administrator". Once both programs are opened as admin, try importing the PowerPoint file in Storyline.
hi alyssa! we are unable to run as admins in my company. i will have to get desk side support to log-on my computer as an admin and have them upload it for me. otherwise i am going to be doing a TON of copy / paste from PPT into Storyline (and i don't want to have to do that).
Thanks for the update Kristin, I know that's frustrating. Would you mind attaching the PPT file here so I can test the import on my end? Just click the Add Attachment button at the bottom of the reply window.
hi alyssa! i am unable to send the PPT. i did as you recommended, working with local desk side support, opened both in EXE as an administrator and the error is still appearing.

Hi Kristin
do you have the ppt on your local drive? and the file isn't open in Powerpoint is it? that will cause an error on import.

Kristin, if you're unable to attach the PowerPoint for privacy reasons, you can always send it to me privately by way of this form.
