Exit button doesnt work when published for LMS

Jul 17, 2014

Hi...

I created a template, added an exit button, but when added content and published to LMS it just doesn't work (If I publish for web it does work). I noticed that if I open the story_HTML5 file, the button works, but the course is all messed up, with layout and text cut offs that makes the course unreadable. I tried all 4 types of LMS and found out that only Tin Can API actually makes the exit trigger work. We always publish using SCORM 2004.

I am using WIN 10 - IE 11 and several people in my team have the same issue. is there any specific way to publish (setting), or any known issue with certain browsers that the exit button just don't work? is there any work around?

Hi A P,

There are some reasons why the exit trigger may not work as described here but I'd also like to know more about how you're layout is messed up and where you're viewing/hosting the course? Are you viewing this HTML5 output on your desktop/laptop? If so you'll want to use Chrome and if you're viewing it on your iPad you'll want to test in Mobile Safari.
