Hi, Brittni. Happy to investigate this with you!

A few questions to help us look at our next steps:

  • What version of Storyline are you using?
  • What browser(s) is the affected learner using to view the course?
  • If you're able to share an affected .story file with us for testing, that would be gold! You can send it privately to us by using this link. We'll try to replicate the behavior in a similar environment and delete it after troubleshooting!

In the meantime, this article covers scenarios and solutions to try when the exit course trigger doesn't work as expected in the published output!

Hi, Brittni. Thanks for sticking with us as we work through this!

You mention this is happening in Chrome: How does the published content behave in other browsers? Also, what happens if the affected learner refreshes the page in Chrome?

And out of curiosity, what LMS are you using? I'll check to see if I can locate any similar reports!

Hey Brittni,

Appreciate the added context here!

When a learner hits Exit Course, is there a designated trigger that the learner clicks on? If so, a resource that Katie provided, I think will help here which covers scenarios and solutions to try when the exit course trigger doesn't work as expected in the published output

If you can share your .story file with us, that would help out greatly! You can send it privately to us by using this link. We'll let you know our findings and will delete it after having a closer look!
