Exit course trigger not working

I have several Storyline modules that are being deployed in our LMS (Moodle 2.7). The Storyline files are not inserted as SCORM (there is no tracking needed), but as web applications.
I have an exit button on the last slide. The trigger set on the button is set to "exit the course" (assuming it would close the Storyline package and go back to the main page of the LMS) . However, when clicked the Storyline project just stays on the page and doesn't go anywhere.
Is there something else I need to do to make this Storyline project close down and go back to the main page of the LMS?

Hi Whitney,
The exit trigger is one that is a bit tricky, and there are a few items mentioned here that you may want to look into.
Also, have you reached out to Moodle to see if there is anything you could do on that end to force the course to close with that trigger?
Thanks Ashley:
I'll give that a try. I did talk to the Moodle people and they said they weren't sure how to make that work and thought it was more of a Storyline issue. I will try out the suggestion in that support page of opening in a new browser window.
You could also look at testing it at SCORM Cloud to see if the behavior is different there (publish for LMS) or a web server to narrow it down a bit further, and it'll also depend on browsers as that article mentions.
I tried following those settings from the support page, but I can't get it to launch in a new page. It is still opening within the same browser window. Any ideas what I might be missing?
