If you cannot get the 'exit course' trigger to work, you could try instructing the user to close the course in another way i.e close the browser window. This isn't a clean solution but it would by pass the issues you're having.
It may help if we're able to take a look at the example you have that isn't working, and then we could test it as well. As a few others shared, there are some browser security restrictions and such that could have an impact on your course. You mentioned it did work in a few other courses, and I assume you're hosting them on the same server and testing in the same browsers?

Hi,

Hope this helps

Thanks for the suggestions.
Have tried a variety of different browsers and using both PC and Apple devices - not working on any of these.
Have created both a button and an Exit Tab - not working either. No masks and tab is independent of that.
The module is for 5-6 year olds, so while the "close the browser" suggestion is good - not practical for this group.
I have created a number of other modules and it is working in them. So, I am a little stuck.
Does this example here work for you?
