Expand - Collapse in Menu Bar

I have grouped slide titles in my presentation. When I publish the file, it gives me slides under headings with expand - collapse feature in the Menu Bar. This is fine. But the problem is if I don't expand or collapse the heading by clicking on the arrow and directly click on the heading title, it plays the first slide which is my cover page. I want a solution for this that even if I click on the heading title, it just expand or collapse or open the subsequent slides and not the cover slide. Any help please?
