Export as MP4

Hello everyone!
Is it possible to export my storyline project as an mp4 file for use in a PPT? I'd love to use the content I have created inside the associated/required/boring PPT deck, but can't seem to find a way to publish only as a video.
The project I have has no interactive elements, only motion, animations, etc.
Thanks,
Ross

There is no built-in option to do this. See this thread here for workarounds.
Provided you just want to play the presentation as a video and not have any user interactions it can be done. I'm using storyline 2. First publish your project and open the published version ready to start on screen. Now create a new project and on the 'Insert' tab select 'record screen'. Play your project. Once your recording is complete, choose 'Insert as single slide' from the options. Now publish this project with a new name. In the storyline folder that it creates, go to the 'Story Contents' folder. In there, there will be an MP4 (usually the biggest one) which is your video. Hope this helps. You can also record audio etc and have that included in the output
Wow, after eight months, I had abandoned all hope! Will give this a try! Thanks so much.
Sorry to hear that Ross. The thread that Michael shared above offered similar, so we probably assumed you were good to go. Glad that Kevin was able to pop in and share then :)
Cool workaround idea, Kevin!
You're more than welcome Ross. I've wanted to do this a few times and kept getting told that it couldn't be done. Apparently there is an option to export to MP4 at the point where you select 'insert as single slide' but I only learnt that today so haven't had the chance to try it.

I appreciate this being left here, even though it was posted a while ago, but I was able to find the mp4 for a screencast demo I placed on one slide right away, without all the extra steps. Just publish the .story file and look in the Storyline output/story_content folder for mp4s. Hope this is a help!
use something like Camtasia to record the playback after you publish it?
No need, Matt. If you make a screencast recording in Storyline and put it on one slide, then publish for web with HTML5 checked, you can find the mp4 in the Storyline output/story_content folder! Really!
