Export contents from results page to Excel

Apr 25, 2020

Dear Articulate community,

I am currently working on an e-learning module in Storyline. I have integrated the module into moodle. On the results slide of the quiz I have added the button "print results", which takes you to a separate results page where the results are listed in tables. I'm looking for a way to save the displayed content in a XLSX or CSV file so that I can evaluate it directly with Excel. Although JAVA and HTML are foreign languages to me, I have already tried to edit the results.html on my own - against all expectations without success :D.

I hope that you all are well and that you are not, or only slightly, affected by Corona!

Best greetings from Germany
Johannes

Hi Johannes.

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes Community.

Please see the following threads:

Capture Quiz Results to a Excel spreadsheet - The thread mentioned 2 ways to do it:

  1. Using Google Doc Forms and embedding it to Storyline as a web object. (Possibly the easiest way)
  2. Convert a javascript text file into a CSV file. See example here.

Export the scores from Articulate Storyline to Excel - This thread suggests you to make some modification in the .html file and requires a database set up.

Storing QuizMaker results in a database - If you a have an existing database set up, you may download the open source code for a web interface enables you to download results per quiz, per student or per class in CSV format.

I hope the references can be of help.
