Export Function for Translation

Sep 28, 2012

Hello,

I reside in Canada and our organization works throughout the country.  When adding content to our LMS we need to provide both English and French.  Is there any way to export all text in articulate to a document to have translated?  Ideally I could then import that document and have a full French module ready go.

Any help on how I can quickly translate would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Jose

Hi Fellow Storyliners

I have a query from our translation agency about the content exported from Storyline for translation.  As we know, as well as exporting all the content, it also exports the name of the slide - which apparently is interfering with the agency's way of doing things "For the time being we would have to correct this manually and this may cause some issues on more complex files".

This is the type of  line they are referring to

Normal 0 false false false oNotPromoteQF /> EN-US X-NONE X-NONE /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman";}{bmp_5sTgKmGE3xH.Name}

Question:  Can this be omitted from the export function?  If not, would it make any difference when importing if I deleted the text related to that line from the column to be translated?  One problem here with doing that - complex files with many slides and many scenes etc
