I've recorded a screen capture within Storyline 2. The forums tell me I should be able to export the video as an .mp4 file. Unfortunately this option is greyed out. Does anyone know how to fix it?
Hey Sarah - Sorry to hear that you ran into difficulty with this. Let's first be sure you are in the correct spot. I recorded a super short video to demo here.
Hi, thanks for the follow-up. I actually got some help from your support on this, and it seems as though something happened in my first upload to our LMS. I re-loaded the file, and suddenly it worked:-)

Thanks for this. I was also doing this wrong, but the video showed it easily :-)
Now I can see that there is no sound on it though? How can I fix this?
Hello Christian!
How did you add your audio in? Typically a screen recording is just that and any audio will need to be exported separately.
Hi,
It was recorded in the video I created. I did not have to add any voice to it, it just followed my steps as I created the video.

Hi Christian,
Was it a step by step screen recording? Audio is stripped out of those once you've inserted as a step by step.
Hi, Ashley
No, I just recorded my screen with voice and added them as a video.
Hi Christian,
Sorry for any confusion - let me start over.
You're trying to follow the steps here on how to export the MP4 from your screen recording
OR
You're unable to hear the audio in your screen recording that's a video on a single slide in Storyline?
Could we get a look at your .story file to test both of those steps?
