Export Storyline to PowerPoint or similar

Jul 28, 2014

My director/SME would like to view Storyline slides and modify the content as needed for me to update/upload and publish.

I've tried different ways to export the Storyline content with no success. Exporting as a Word file doesn't allow him the editing capability he prefers. Exporting for translation purposes requires formatting tables to get it to a point he can use, however the "look-and-feel" is gone. He would prefer using PowerPoint.

Importing revised content from a PowerPoint slide is also much simpler. There is no additional copy of Storyline available in our office (because this is my personal software), so he uses the extremely outdated PowerPoint project to view and edit the content which makes finding the revisions a chore.

If there's a way to get the current content out in a PowerPoint viewable format, that would be ideal and I would maintain it from there.

Any advice on how I can make the boss happy but also keep this process efficient is greatly appreciated!

Hi C and welcome to Heroes!

Unfortunately Storyline does not have a feature to export or send to a Powerpoint file, although it supports importing from Powerpoint. You may want to look at providing the Publish to Word version and a version that is published to CD or web server so that your boss can see how it looks, feels and behaves and then can make edits on the Word document that you'll need to insert. I have also heard users in the forums mention "review" type sites where the reviewers can add comments slide by slide - so I hope that they'll share those recommendations here with you.
