Exporting Audio Files from Storyline for Captioning Service

Jun 20, 2018

In the past, we recorded the audio for each slide in Powerpoint/Articulate.  From the audio editor, it was simple to bulk export the .wav files for each slide, and they were named by the slide number and title.  We are now developing directly in Storyline 360, but need to be able to export the audio files in a .story file for the purposes of utilizing a captioning service.  I understand how to export individual audio files, but is there a more efficient option, as we had with Powerpoint?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Kelson. Great, great question!

While there isn't a built-in option to bulk export audio from Storyline at this time, I've shared your insights with our team, as we're always looking for ways we can make Storyline even better.

Some folks mentioned some workarounds in this similar discussion. Have a look, and we're here if you need anything else!

Add an Audio editor to Storyline360 like you have in Presenter360

From Presenter360:

Exporting Audio from All Slides at the Same Time to Separate Audio Files

  • Go to the Articulate tab on the PowerPoint ribbon and click Audio Editor.
  • When the audio editor opens, go to the File tab on the ribbon, scroll to Export, and choose either WAV or MP3.
  • Browse to the location where you want to save your exported audio and click Select Folder.
