Extended desktop - any similar experiences?

Nov 28, 2012

I use a laptop connected to a large screen in extended desktop mode, just like may people, I would imagine.

My setup works exactly as it should for all applications except Storyline. When I open it and drag the SL window onto the large screen, some of the basic windows behaviour isn't working: clicking to grab the top bar of the window actually performs the window corner resize. There's no way I can drag the window back over to the laptop screen. I can resize vertically from the bottom (althuogh it shows the wrong type of arrow), but not from the top.

These are minor irritations, not show stoppers, as running SL pretty much full screen the whole type I'm using it, is the way i want it, but I wondered if anyone has had similar experiences?

Hi John,

I've used multiple displays for... well, for longer than I'd like to admit I personally use a laptop with two external monitors, simply because I have a hard time using the built-in screens with laptops. One thing you could try, if you use the other monitor consistently, is setting that monitor to the primary display. It won't resolve the issue, if you try to move the window back to the laptop screen, but it might have Storyline launch on the other monitor by default, so you don't have to worry about adjusting it. Not sure if this is what you're already doing, but thought I might toss in the suggestion.  Maybe some of the Heroes in the community can provide some more input.

Have a good day!
