External Videos

I have created a project using multiple videos throughout.  The videos are having an issue.  It's not consistent, some play, some don't, and it doesn't seem to have a pattern.  Finally after giving up on getting the videos to play consistently I included a button to launch the video manually if the user finds it will not play.  I placed the videos in the content/external files/   folder, but now with I try to launch the videos I receive the following message: Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.4.5 404 Not Found.  I would appreciate some guidance!

Thanks for contacting us and sharing what you are experiencing with your course.

Just a couple of clarifying questions so that I can better understand:

  1. How did you add the videos to your project?
    • Are they added as files or from a website?
  2. Are the files located in the final environment, such as your web server or LMS, when you are experiencing the error?

With your permission, I'd like to take a look at your project file to investigate what's happening. You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.
