Hi
Please help!
I have a text entry field which needs to be completed and then the learner has to press F4 to move on. (No pressing Enter).
Despite my research and best efforts, I cannot get this to work.
Hoping someone can tell me precisely what I need to do.
Many thanks

Hi David, could it be something as straight-forward as your keyboard's function lock being on?
HI David.
If only!
Hi David,
What happens when you press F4? Some key press triggers may be associated with browser actions which is why they may not work as you'd expect.
I'd take a look at what other options you could use vs. the F4 trigger, or fully test the course by uploading to your web server/LMS and testing it in a few different browsers.
Hi Ashley
Thank you for your email.
Would there be any way I can disable the browser's hold over the F4 key for the most common browsers?
Kind regards
David

Hi David,
Unfortunately no way to disable those browsers functions - and if there was, it would be on an individual user basis (they'd need to change/modify their browser).
Could you instruct users to use a key combination that would be a bit different from their normal set up? Perhaps pressing the F + 4 keys together vs. the built in F4 key? That way they'd know what to use in the future?
David, you might be able to accomplish this with some javascript code in your course. Which version of Storyline are you using?
David,
Here's a thread you may want to follow if you don't have it figured out yet.
