Hi, Paul -- To the best of my knowledge, I am not aware of a way to fade to a certain percentage of opacity, but you could set the transparency on the image itself by right clicking on the image, choose Format Picture, and then adjust the level of transparency from there.

Certainly, Paul! And I also wanted to note that when you reply via email, your signature is displayed publicly here in the threads. You are welcome to edit to remove that information if you wish. :)
Couldn't you create a state for the first object that creates the fade to 50%, then the next state would be the object at 50%. So during the timeline it would appear as if it were turning to 50% and then staying that way? Just a thought.
Hi, Amber -- Your input is appreciated, and as some time has passed since Paul originally posed his question, you are certainly welcome to reach out to him via the 'Contact Me' link on his profile page (in case he is no longer subscribed to the thread). :)
Had this same challenge... Ended up laying over a white shape the same size as my image and setting the transparency to roughly 50-60%. You can fly the white shape in and out and it'll appear as if your image opacity is changing.
The best "hack" for creating a Fade to 50% transition is give any image an "Exit Animation" Fade, then underlay a clone of the SAME image already set to whatever transparency you want. Done!

Christie - I didn't think so. I just couldn't remember. I work in storyline for several weeks at a time and then months go by before I'm back into it.
Thanks for response.

Hey Tim and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
I appreciate you chiming in to share how you were able to accomplish this with the community.
That could certainly help someone that runs across this conversation in the future.

Done indeed! Thanks so much Troy!
