The ability to have the "Hide Objects on Base Layer" gear include a 0% - 100% transparency setting.
I have building a course recently and this would have just added something to the look and feel - or is there an alternative to doing this that I have not thought of?
Have been taking the image from the Base Layer, hiding Base Layer and then adding the image onto each layer - resetting the transparency level to 80%.
That's a great suggestion, Bruce. I've been doing similar things the past couple of days. Been accomplishing this through duplicate objects or object states. Would be much easier with a base layer modifier within a layer or even better with a specific trigger -
Fade object to (x) transparency.
While we're at it, would love to see some nudging movement triggers too
Move object to (x, y) or Move object (+pixels on the x axis).
Would now love to see inclusion of triggers that allow object manipulation by space/target positioning, and time (make this object do this animation to that point at this time...), (although that sounds a bit too "Dr. Who" I suppose... )

It would be nice to have a few feature like this, layer transparency, multiply transparency and other similar to photoshop.
I had a designer send me a slide mockup which was covered in multiply transparencies that I could not translate well into Storyline.

Agree 100% Steve (excuse the pun...)
