Feedback Layer - sound of another layer playing
Dec 14, 2018
Hello,
I'm stuck with a problem I really don't understand.
I have a question with 2 layers : Correct/Incorrect.
Each layer has a sound effect (Correct/Incorrect) defined in the FeedbackMaster.
If the answer is incorrect, the learner can click on "Correction". When clicked, this button opens a lightbox with the correct information.
Here is the problem: When you close the lightbox, the "correct" sound effect automatically plays. I don't know why, I don't know how to fix it. It only happens the first time you Lightbox the correction slide. If you click a second time, the sounds doesn't play.
The file is attached. If someone can help, I would be very grateful. I lost many hours trying to fix it. I assumed my file was corrupted but I tried with a new project and it's the same behaviour.
Have a nive day,
Bérengère LITTY

Hi,
I think it is a Bug in Storyline and this must be reported.
My solution for now is putting your Correction slide into a layer.
See the attached file.
Yes, I agree.
My solution is to launch the sounds with a trigger. The problem disappears.

Great news! We just released another update for Articulate 360, and included a few important fixes that you'll see in the release notes here.
The item you'll be interested in is:
Fixed: Audio tracks from multiple layers could play simultaneously, even when the layers weren't open.
Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.
