Feedback layouts don't inherit changes on master
May 09, 2018
I make custom masters for feedback a lot but it's perplexing to me that only certain items are inherited on the layouts after I change the master.
First of all, I'm not making anything complicated. Just a box with headline, text, and button. They're more or less like the default but I need to customize their size and position based on my slides.
If I change the master, only the box size/position carries down to the layouts. I have to go in to each layout and remake the same changes.
The feedback layer is always problematic. Even when I get rid of the "caption" format (that shows up in a color for some reason) the text always seems to have a shadow on it when I review the slides. It's problematic to solve that issue and takes a lot of trial and error.
This should be simpler. I am accustomed to PowerPoint masters and so far with Storyline, I'm not satisfied. The slide masters have their own issues as well but at least I can work around those quirks without losing time. But the Feedback masters and the quiz results have really gotten me frustrated.
Any insights?

Hey Charles,
Sorry to hear that you've run into trouble with your feedback layouts.
I see that Alyssa is helping you out here, so I'd continue the conversation in one place and taking a look at the file would be helpful as she mentioned.
