Feedback Master Not Working Properly

Jul 24, 2014

Hello everyone!

I am a little new to articulate, so perhaps this is something that is an easy fix. I've noticed with all my interactions, such as drag and drop and multiple choice, the feedback master will change to the clean format, with no other options available. This makes the pop up look very bad, for every reply for every interaction.

I go into the slide master to edit the Feedback, but I cannot edit where the continue button should be.

Here you can see where I have no other option than 'Clean' and how it looks, this is after I rearranged it a bit:

Here is in the feedback master, where I can edit all the text but I can only change the format of where the continue button should be. I cannot add text:

Here, you will see where I attempted to add a text box separately. As you can tell, it does not look good.

Even after trying to edit these, they still do not show up on my drop down list.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Danielle,

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

By default, you can't modify the look of the Continue button on question feedback layers.

However, you can hide the built-in Continue button and create your own. Here's how:

How to customize the Continue button on feedback layouts

That should help with the built-in button that you're seeing and allow you to add your own (if you'd like to do so).

If this is what you've already tried and this isn't showing in your course, please let us know!

Hi Danielle,

I'm glad the button's working better for you now :) I'd like to find out what's causing the issue with the layout in the drop-down menu, however.

Now, you'll only see "Clean" listed if that's the only Master slide in the Feedback Master. The layouts aren't listed separately in this list.

First, can you tell me if you're able to change layouts (to one that you've saved separately from the Clean layout) by right-clicking on your feedback layer slides?

It should look something like this:

Note: You can click on the image above to see a larger version.

If you don't see the layout or master there, please let me know.

Thanks!

No, I couldn't get that to work. But I did manage to fix it, though I am still not sure what caused the problem. (I wish I had thought of this sooner.)

I just removed the freeform question and converted it back to one, and the feedback layers are working fine. It really must have just been a glitch.

Thank you for your help though!
