Feedback Master or Slide Master Layers to Create Progress Bar?

Dec 19, 2019

I'm trying to create a game in the attached project. I've got a basketball that needs to move along a progress meter when a question is answered correctly (see slide 4 & 5). I've added a "pip1layer" and a "pip2layer" on my feedback master. My goal is to have several of these, and multiple questions and scenarios related to C-TPAT as we go through the module. I'm not sure if I'm taking the best approach so I'm open to anything that works!

Basically, I need the basketball to move. My initial thought was to have layers on the master or feedback master, and call them when scenarios/questions were navigated correctly. However, I am only getting "pip1layer" and not "pip2layer." Any help would be greatly appreciated - I need 7 progress layers!

Thanks for taking a look.

Hi Merritt,

Thanks for sharing your file! I have a few suggestions you can decide to incorporate:

1. If you plan on moving the basketball based on successful interactions, I'd recommend using a Number variable instead of a True/False variable. This will make it easier to jump to a layer based on the value of 1 variable instead of several.

2. Using this method, I'd create the variable change on the Correct layer of the question slide.

3. I'd set the slide properties to "Reset to initial state" so that it calculates the status every time it returns to the base slide.

I've attached your file with an example of this! You can then replicate to show higher "pip" layers as the Counter variable increases. Preview the entire course, and let me know if this works for you!
