File for unexported Player design?
Apr 06, 2017
Hi
Is there any way of finding the data for a customised player design that cannot be exported?
A colleague created a customised player for a set of modules, some of which are published and in use, but one is left to be finished by his replacement as he's now left the organisation. Unfortunately his laptop has broken, so we can't simply open up Storyline on his computer to export the player as an .xml file in the normal way.
We do have most of the files saved from his laptop, including both the editable .story files and the published Storyline files for all projects. Would any of these contain the necessary data? And what kind of file would it be? Also .xml?
We tried looking in the following path, but couldn't see anything:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Articulate\Storyline\360\Players
Or do I need to just recreate it manually, using the published files as a guide?
Many thanks!

Hi Leonie,
Custom colorschemes should be located here :
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Articulate\Storyline\2\Frames\StoryFrame\ColorSchemes
But it should also be part of the Story file otherwise you could not pass it to your colleagues for editing (not sure).
Thank you Pierre. I can see those files on my computer - had thought they were template styling rather than player styling. Hoping I can reach the same files from his laptop!
Much appreciated
