File save error
Dec 15, 2015
I am getting the error message "The project file could not be saved. ParentContainerClosed". I think I had an insufficient space on disk warning before that - but I have plenty of space available on the disk.
I'm using Windows 8.1 on Parallels.
The Storyline file is saved to a network volume, accessed via 10GbE.
Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Hi Andrew
Articulate recommend that you save your files locally and not to a network drive, external drive, USB etc.
I have same setup as you and have no trouble saving locally. Hope it works for you.
Thanks Wendy, I'll switch to that and see how it goes. For me it seems to be more of an issue on bigger packages with a lot of video content.
Good luck
also watch your file names - doesn't like wildcards and file names longer than 256 characters - keep it simple.
If that doesn't work maybe try a repair of SL - see here
I'm still getting the insufficient disk space warning even when saving locally so I'll try the SL repair fix.
Hi Andrew! Glad that Wendy was able to pop in and assist you here. Hopefully that repair gets you back in working order and if not, you may want to work directly with our support team here.
