Welcome to the community. I wanted to verify that you are using the latest version of Storyline, found here. And also that you are working locally with your files, as saving to a network drive can cause issues. Are you receiving any error pop ups while trying to save?
If it i storyline 2 you could try killing the process and letting auto recovery kick in this should then allow you to save. It is a resources issue though if you have insufficient resources to save it cannot do it and a large file uses more resources.
Hello,
Thank you for the prompt response. I'm using the latest version of Storyline2 . I have saved all the data locally and not on the network/server.Please let me know what could be the possible reason for this issue.
Regards,
Sagar

I am not sure if I understand what you mean. Are you trying to insert these videos into a Storyline file? Are you using the Insert video method and it is not importing?
hello,
we are facing some video large screen problem (Snapshost attched)
Please find attached a video snapshot. As per the requirement, we want to show the video to the end user in full screen
format (as we can see in VLC player). When user clicks on the video, it should be displayed in full screen.
Currently we are facing the issue with the storyline to open the video in full screen format.
Kindly provide the solution for the above mentioned problem.
Why don't you try to keep all of the videos separate from the Storyline file and just link to them? You can set them to open in a new window. This will keep you SL file much smaller. Just a thought...
As Brett stated you can add the videos in as web objects and have them open in a new browser window/tab. Unfortunately I did not get the attachment you shared as replying via email, the attachments will not show on the post.
Sagar, there are a couple of ways of doing this. As Emily suggests you can insert a web object and have it open in a new window or within the slide itself. You need to host your video somewhere accessible to your viewers then copy the URL and insert it onto your slide via Insert>Web Object. You can also do it by just using a simple trigger to open the URL of your hosted video. Both ways are pretty straightforward.
Sagar, as long as it's a web server and your users have access to it, for example a corporate intranet, this shouldn't be a problem. You just need the URL of the .story html file to use as your link.
Trying to link to a shared drive or network drive is another matter and not suggested. See this discussion for more info. Link

Are you stuck with an open file and you cannot save it and don't want to lose your work?
