Filling a shape with an image publishes blurry! Help!
Sep 21, 2018
Hi all-
I have completed a project that needs to launch soon and am facing an issue that I can't resolve. I have several circles that I have filled with images. During the building phase, they look crisp, but when published, they become blurry to the point where it is pretty distracting. All of the other images (not filling shapes) remain sharp. What's going on?
I should note that I have tried using higher-res photos for the fill and the same thing happens once published. Attached are screenshots of the build view vs. the published view. And yes, my publish settings call for 100% image quality.
Thanks for the quick help!
Logan

Hi Logan,
Thanks for sharing those images.
I saw the blurriness that you're describing, and it looks like you're using Storyline 360? Do you know if you're using the latest build 3.20.16814.0?
Also, where are you viewing/hosting your published output?
Hi, Ashley-
Yes, all up to date. And that screenshot is of the module hosted in Review. It also looks blurry when published as SCORM and uploaded into our LMS (Halogen). It seems like something is happening upon publish. I tried some other workarounds today, but am getting that same thing.

Hey Logan,
I'm not able to replicate the behavior you are reporting. Is it happening in a specific browser that I can take a closer look at or would you be able to share your .story file so that we can take a look at that?

Hi Leslie-
Thanks for the reply. I am viewing this in Chrome. I did submit a ticket to the support team to see if they can help, and included the storyline file.
Thanks Logan! I even responded to your earlier thread and didn't realize the two were connected. I appreciate you letting me know :)
