First time user exam help! (Object not responsive)
Nov 13, 2019
Hello!
This is the first course that I'm trying to build in storyline, as my company is switching over from Lectora. I'm trying to recreate one of our 50 questions exams. All questions are multiple choice.
I'm having an issue with the multiple choice interaction box. I formatted the pre-populated shape to have a border and a slightly different colored background to draw the user to the answer selections. My problem is, this box doesn't scale with the project! All the other shapes and boxes do, but for some reason, this one will not. However, the text does! This means that the text will overrun the box its built in when in preview mode. I've checked the settings for the pre-built shape and the text boxes, and everything seems to indicate that it should scale. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Breanna!
Thanks for sharing images of what you're seeing! Have you tried grouping the objects? This will format the text to fit the size of the shape.
The shape that I was trying to format was the one that is pre-populated when you select a multiple choice question. It doesn't show up in the timeline. I gave up and un-did all the formatting for that box and just added a different shape behind the question. It appears to be working ok now.
Hi Breanna!
I'm glad you were able to find the fix! I haven't noticed an issue where the format is off in the pre-populated shape in a multiple-choice question. I'm happy to dig deeper into the issue if you want to share your file. You can do so by using the "add attachment" button in this discussion.
Also, thank you for sharing a workaround for this issue! I know it will be helpful if someone else comes across a similar snag!
