flash content in old files (story.html) published in storyline not displaying correctly in browser

Feb 18, 2020

Hi,

I have old course files which have been created in earlier version of Storyline. I now want to republish them as HTML5. I need to be able to open the old output(Story.html) for comparison and review. Although the page loads in browser some content does not display. Could you please advise?

Please note I am able to open it in the latest version of storyline and publish it as html5 and test on LMS, it works. But the older output does not. I have tried updating flash plugin through settings manager as per instructions on the adobe site

Hi Niranjan,

Happy to help!

With the changes approaching towards the end of the year for the sunsetting of flash, courses of legacy versions of Storyline rely on Flash to operate. The HTML5 published output from Storyline 1, Storyline 2, and Studio ‘13 works in Google Chrome and Safari, however, it won’t work reliably in other browsers. This help guide provides more details on how the end of flash affects Articulate apps and courses
