Flash in Custom Player

Nov 13, 2019

I have some older courses that need to be republished to HTML, and since I have the source files, that part is no problem. The issue arises when I go to check that everything plays correctly, and the original developer put in a custom player option that included Flash. They used Storyline 2, and we now have Storyline 360. I can't seem to find where to edit the custom player to remove the flash issues (sizing of "Menu" and "Exit" buttons are off and the "swf" symbol pops up on the next icon). Is this not something that can transfer from Storyline 2 to 360?

Thanks Judy! Unfortunately, I still have the custom player frame in there even when I reset it :/ My other thought would be to just put an image over the custom frame with new buttons to navigate to the menu and exit (and same with the custom forward and back buttons, also built with flash and set in a custom player frame). This way no one could see them, and new buttons that work would simply replace them.

Hey, Blayne, here's another thought. How did you transfer the SL2 files into SL360? Did you simply open them and let SL upgrade the file?  If so, why don't you try this instead: Create a new SL file with the player properties you want. Then import all the slides from the old course into the new file. Perhaps that would solve your problem?
