I have Storyline 1. Chrome is my default browser. I will have to try some of these fixes. At this point it's super confusing which one to try, and which ones to trust. I'm super frustrated.
This thread has grown as you can see, but there was a fix in Update 8 of Storyline 1 to deal with the Flash Player issue when Adobe released an update in early December for Flash 16. You'll need to download that update and then reboot the system.
I'm happy to hear you're back in working order - we've heard a few users who were still receiving the Flash error message after updating Storyline to the latest release update in which it was fixed. In those scenarios they've been able to conduct a repair of Storyline as detailed here and that brought them back to working order.
Our team is working on a fix right now for some issues with the Support submission page, so in the meantime you can connect with Support directly by emailing Support@articulate.com
Do you have update or work around regarding the Flash Player 16 issue and Storyline 2? We can not launch Storyline on workstations that have Flash Player 16
Hi we are encountering this problem today ( Feb.02.2015)
I am using Windows 7. and neither flash player 11 nor 16 works. Our projects are as of now on hold and I am hopping someone can provide us a step by step solution that does not involve reformatting the entire computer.
I can preview content in storyline and publish them to my desktop. But when I view the published files, they are all blank (SWF and HTML).
This thread deals with users who were unable to open any Articulate product as they had Flash Player 16 installed which prevented them from opening - but it did not impact the published output. Which version of Storyline are you using? Also you'll want to test the published content within the intended environment as described here testing it locally could cause elements of the content to fail. Also, you'll want to ensure you're using a support browser as detailed here.
This morning I still had the same problem and then I someone suggesting on one of the posts to try viewing it with another browser ( so anything but my default browser) and it worked.
I see that the issue is known and not new, but the only solution I see above is to get the latest Storyline update. I have a recent (since the date of the latest) installation, but the problem persists for me. I cannot open Storyline, and am getting frustrated. Due to security policies, I cannot download Flash every time I want to work in Storyline.
Very strange that this issue seems to be rearing its ugly head for us as well, all of a sudden. My coworker is just now experiencing this after installing the very latest Storyline, Update 4. Support ticket is in.
Oh, I see that when Jerome put the ticket in, he did so in Susan Mihalak's name. Susie is the person who is having issues getting SL2 installed. Jerome is our IT manager.

I'm having the same problem. I cannot open Storyline at all and have installed the flash many times! Hope this gets sorted soon.
Hurray installing the update worked! Thanks!

I have Articulate Studio 13 as well as Storyline 1, are there any updates for studio which will resolve this flash player 16 issue?
Also if i want to upgrade to Storyline 2 from 1, do we get it at a discount?
Hi Suraj!
Yes, there is an update to Studio as well and you can find that here.
As for your upgrade, you will need to reach out to our team here so that they can assist you with those questions.
I have downloaded the update and selected Reinstall. Seemed to install fine. Rebooted. Still getting same error message.
Tried to fill out a tech support ticket, and the form won't submit. Any ideas on what to try next?

Hi Michael,
Yes, you'll need to download the update here for Storyline 2.
Hi Leslie,
It is not possible for me to down grade to Flash Player 15.
When can we expect this update to be done?
Thanks,
Matt
Hi Matt,
All of the Articulate products have been updated to deal with the Flash Player 16 update - you can download the updates below:
Studio '13, Storyline 1 and Storyline 2

Hi Ahssan,

Thanks Ashley for clarifying that.,

I installed yesterday first and update package:

and it did not difference.
This morning I still had the same problem and then I someone suggesting on one of the posts to try viewing it with another browser ( so anything but my default browser) and it worked.
If that helps anyone.
Hello Ahssan,
Just want to verify that you are testing the published content in its intended environment as Ashley linked above and not from your local machine.
Did someone get a fix to this issue? I started up Storyline today and I get the Flash Player issue, too.
Storyline won't even open until this is fixed so...
I remember a recent update for Storyline, but evidently it didn't fix this issue.
Suggestions other than what has already been mentioned up above.
Hello Daniel!
If you are using Storyline 2, you can get the latest update here. For Storyline 1, go here.

Hi David,
Sorry you are seeing the issue again. Is the ticket in your name? Or do you have the case number? I would like to follow along for a resolution.
The ticket is in my name. I also noticed that Jerome McCants also put a ticket in for the same issue.
